Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to home homes, communities and hope.

Around the world, Habitat for Humanity volunteers, supporters, and advocates are making a difference int he lives of thousands of families who deserve decent, affordable shelter. 

HOW YOU CAN SERVE

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati is currently building a house in West College Hill

Our homes are built almost entirely by volunteers, both skilled and unskilled. Whether you are a contractor or have never picked up a hammer in your life, we need your help. No previous experience is necessary - just a willingness to learn!

INFORMATION

How Many People?​

  • Up to 8 people  

What is the Minimum Age Requirement?

  • 16 years old (w/ restrictions) or 18 and older without restrictions

How Many Days a Week can You Serve?

  • Tuesdays and Saturdays

What are the Times to Serve?

  • 8:30a - 4:00p for a full day

  • Half shifts are available upon request: 8:30a - 12:00p or 12:30p - 4:00p

What Should You Bring?

  • All work equipment and safety gear you will need is provided

  • If individuals prefer to use their own mask, they are welcome do. Masks will be available for all volunteers.

  • Comfortable clothing you don't mind getting dirty

  • Closed-toe shoes

  • Lunch is not provided, please bring a packed lunch and water

  • Sunglasses, hat, sunscreen

Safety Measures in Place to Follow Protocols for COVID:

  • Health screening forms are filled out by each person that walks onto a Habitat construction site, including a temperature check.

  • Our sites have a very limited number of slots available to meet CDC recommendations.

  • Masks are required on site (you may bring your own or use the mask provided by Habitat)

  • Social distancing is highly encouraged, when possible. On construction sites, it is hard to require 6 feet of social distance due to having to teach tasks.

  • PPE kits are given to volunteers when they arrive. They include: new hard hat, safety glasses, mask, ear plugs, and gloves.

  • Hand sanitizer is readily available and tools/high contact areas are sanitized by Habitat staff each day.
