“Summer Impact Cincinnati was the one of the single most formative experiences of my life. From the tangible of life long friends to the intangible of a deep love of serving and Cincinnati by witnessing God moving in massive ways. The leadership skills I learned as an intern has helped shape me into the teacher I am today."

“My intern experience stretched me in more ways than I knew possible by giving me the opportunity to put my faith in action. Firsthand I was able to witness people take daily teachings and use them to be change agents throughout the week and bring it home to their own community, furthering God’s kingdom here on earth. I am so thankful for this experience to learn and grow awareness of our community.”

-Abby, Interned 2018-2019

What to expect

The work is demanding. The days are long. The pace is fast. The conditions are far from luxurious. But, the rewards are truly life-changing. You will see the lives changed and the hearts transformed. Best of all, you will know that for one entire summer, you did all you could and gave everything you had to serve alongside others and serve God.

While groups are present (Sunday afternoon – Friday afternoon) the days will start early and end late. When the team leaves on Friday, interns have that evening through Sunday afternoon (before groups arrive) as time off. Attending church (at Hyde Park Community UMC, The Warehouse, or another faith community) is expected as a way to continue to grow as a disciple.
